Convenient location on the Jacobspad hike. Friendly and accommodating owner. Good restaurant recommendation. Excellent breakfast.
Almost perfect.

For one night the price-performance ratio was appropriate. The staff was friendly. Beds were clean and comfortable. From the outside a beautiful building and the entrance hall of the reception is beautifully decorated!
Unfortunately there was really a lack of cleanliness. The impression seemed to me as if only bed sheets were changed once. Walls are too thin in my opinion, so that you can hear what is being said in the neighboring room (matter of opinion). Basically, a renovation might be necessary.

Breakfast is sufficient. Restaurant suitable for dinner. Room good but no longer up to date. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly/helpful staff
The showers are separated only by a glass wall. The water is distributed accordingly throughout the bathroom. At least there is a floor squeegee in the bathroom, so the water can be led to the drain :-)

Located in a beautiful part of the Netherlands, this hotel is perfect for backpackers on a long, distance hike. With various room options, you can enjoy ample and clean rooms with outside sitting areas. the hotel's restaurant serves excellent food, with vegetarian options available. You can also enjoy a proper shower and bath in your luxury room.
The hotel seems to be understaffed, resulting in multiple slip, ups during check, in and breakfast.

I recently stayed at this hotel while on a long distance hike, and I could not have been more pleased. The location was perfect for me, as it was conveniently on my way and allowed me to easily continue my journey. The service provided by the owner was exceptional, as he was friendly and accommodating. He even went out of his way to recommend a great restaurant nearby for dinner. The room itself was luxurious and provided all the amenities I needed, including a well-stocked mini-bar and a comfortable sitting area. The flat-screen TV was an added bonus, allowing me to relax and unwind after a long day of hiking. The breakfast offered in the dining area was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. the staff here truly made me feel welcome and the facilities provided enhanced comfort and convenience.
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

There was no tea making facilities In the room And we needed to have an early Breakfast on Monday morning before we left! And this wasn't possible until 8.30 Which was too late for us.

I liked the location as it was close to Assen tt circuit.
That the smoke alarm went off while having a shower from the steam, as there was no fan in the bathroom

Spent Christmas at a hotel located in a beautiful area with great cycling routes, hiking trails, and nature around. the hotel offered delicious food at its restaurant, especially the fresh lobster. the staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was available which was a great advantage.
The hotel rooms were outdated and could use some maintenance. the noise from the neighboring rooms was disturbing at times.

The area itself was quiet and the hotel in the main foyer and restaurant was comfortable. Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but did not speak English!
The staff did not speak English and this was very frustrating at times, though they did try to be helpful. There was no public transport in this area - it caused many problems and stress not being able to get buses or taxis when they were needed. There were no facilities in room. We were in a luxury room and it did not have the basics like Tea and Coffee or a hair dryer. Rooms seemed very basic and dated and not worth the money compared to other hotels we have stayed at. Tea and Coffee was only available in a machine in the foyer that was only switched on during the day (when most people are out of the hotel). Location of hotel was out of the way of everywhere else - so really needed good transport links! Taxis not available and when booked did not turn up!! You must drive to stay here.

The staff and service were good. The food was tasty.
The shower had no door and the floor wasn't sloping enough for the water to drain properly and the bathroom floor got flooded. The price of the food was rather on the expensive side, but was OK!!

We stayed at a hotel on our way to our long distance hike. Best aspects: The owner was friendly, recommended a good nearby restaurant, and breakfast was excellent.
Could not be improved in any way.

Located centrally in a beautiful part of the Netherlands and close to all interesting sites, this hotel is a great base for a city break. The rooms are ample and clean, and the hotel has conference facilities. The restaurant serves very good food, and there is a large outside patio/seating area.
Although the hotel has its own parking area, the location next to a busy motorway can make it noisy. The hotel has limited menu options, and some guests report that the beds are not comfortable.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in in Holland !,the room smelled musty ,the tv had a blue screen (satellite tv was on the booking but was very limited)it says on the booking FREE wifi in the whole of the hotel but that was for ONE hour per day any more and I would have to take a FOUR day subscription for Wifi!!!,very limited restaurant menu also for breakfast, The main reason for choosing Best Western was to get the BW Rewards points but was told that is only valid if you book direct with BW and not with Booked.net ,on day 1 there was free coffee in the foyer on day 2 this was switched off ,A truely awful experience, Never a Four star Hotel !!!!!!!!
