old school hospitality shines with lovely river views and comfy rooms

Excellent stay with welcoming staff and beautiful river views.

The lobby and breakfast area were clean, inviting, and well-decorated, enhancing the overall ambiance. I found the hotel to be very accessible, making it comfortable for me to navigate throughout my stay.

Train noise could disturb some guests at night.

The stay was enjoyable overall, particularly because of the fantastic location that allowed easy access to downtown attractions. The room was spacious with a great view of the river, which I appreciated. However, I did find the train noise to be quite disruptive at night, making it hard to sleep well. Breakfast was decent, but the selection could be improved for future visits.

The breakfast options were a huge disappointment. They were poorly prepared and lacked variety. I was left with almost nothing to eat. The staff at the front desk seemed indifferent when I expressed my concerns about the meals. Honestly, it felt more like a chore than a pleasant stay.

We had a lovely time visiting the nearby University of Kansas for a football game. The staff was outstanding, and one helped me carry breakfast while juggling my little ones. The room was spacious and clean, perfect for our family.

My kids wished for a better pull-out bed option.

We had a great time enjoying the spacious One-Bedroom Queen Suite with a cozy sofa bed and took advantage of the relaxing indoor pool and jacuzzi after a long day. The facilities were nice, but we found the pull-out bed to be a bit too small for older kids. Definitely pack your swimsuits even if they say the pool might be closed! 😊

I enjoyed my stay for two nights in a spacious One-Bedroom Queen Suite. Waking up to stunning water views was a highlight. The front desk staff were friendly, and I appreciated the easy parking. A tip for guests, try the breakfast for fresh options!

A truly hidden gem with a unique vibe. The view from the room overlooking the river was stunning, complemented by a spacious layout that made for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a delightful selection including Neapolitan pizza, which was unexpected and delicious. However, the breakfast service could be slow on busy mornings, and although the hotel was quiet, the pool area felt a bit cramped at times. Would love to come back!
