The hotel was close enough to attractions such as Reading Terminal Market, Independence Square, and the Wanamaker Oregon, historic Philadelphia and center thanks to its comfortable and ideal location. It also was to a restaurant on subsequent days.
Didn't like the area, it was bustling.

Little place, I really enjoyed nice personnel.
The hotel was located so close to many restaurants & attractions as well as the Midtown near to the Old City. The room was immaculate and absolutely perfect with balloons, had essentials required. Everything was wonderful, including cozy room decor. We had a terrific time.

Extremely helpful and very helpful staff, and good food!!!
Certainly a pleasant experience for long stay in Philadelphia. Fairly clean, small family run hotel. Unbeatable location right by historic centre and numerous restaurants and mosts major attractions. For tea or coffee visit Green Eggs Cafe nearby. A nice size room at reasonable prices with mini fridge and balloons, as example. A modern decor.

Hotel was well located in City Center. Lots of restaurants in the area and easy walking distance to many sites. Seemed like good security-- needed hotel card to access elevator from ground level and to go to any floors other than reception. Bed very comfortable.
Hotel was adequate but would not stay there again. The refrigerator wasn't working and when we told them on the way out they checked and some switch had not been turned on. There was no information in the room as far as how to contact the desk and on the two occasions I went down to speak to someone, noone was at reception. The swivel rod was gone from the blinds so they couldn't be closed (thankfully there were blackout shades.) Nice products in the bathroom but no shower cap. It was a scorching 100+ degrees in Philadelphia the weekend we were there and the air conditioning was great although quite loud.

The Independant is without doubt one of the best Boutique Hotels we have booked via Booked.net. It has Class, Comfort and Style and the staff are spectactular with a 10 out of 10 for courtesy and service. We will recommend this Hotel to all our friends. A really nice touch is the evening wine and cheese get together for residents an opportunity to meet and talk with other travellers.
There is nothing not to like about The Independant
