Safari West - Information
Safari West is an impressive 400-acre wildlife sanctuary that also features an African-style tent camp. This magnificent wildlife preserve was established in 1993 by Peter Lang and is home to an impressive array of over 900 animals from 90 different species, including some of the most iconic African animals such as giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and rhinos. Interestingly, the land on which Safari West now sits was initially used as a sheep ranch back in the late 1800s before it was later transformed into a hunting lodge and eventually converted into a wildlife sanctuary. Visitors to the park can enjoy guided safari tours to observe the animals in their natural habitats and even have the chance to spend the night in one of the camp's luxurious safari tents. With its exceptional blend of wildlife and glamping, Safari West presents an unmatched experience that is not to be missed by any tourist visiting Santa Rosa.
